David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
