Chiefs State They Are Aware of Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Player the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment Wednesday night confirming they are aware of claims of abuse made public in online accounts by a ex-partner of wide receiver the athlete and had been in communication with the NFL.
The organization omitted the name of the player specifically in their statement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, posted a series of photos on Instagram that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. She did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the team selected in the second round.

Player's Recent Legal Issues
Rice was absent for the initial part of this NFL campaign due to an league-mandated ban for his role in instigating a crash on a Dallas highway that left multiple people injured. He was sentenced a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
