Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Disclosed
According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.
The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

- Mikasa costume for Naoe
